
On Tues 3 May at 18:00, the »ÆÉ«ÊÓÆµ Humanities Society will be hosting a talk: ‘Writing about democracy in the age of Modi and Trump’ given by Professor , Professor of Modern and Contemporary History, Faculty of History, University of Cambridge.
After the hubris of the 1990s and the despondency of the Donald Trump years, what is it like to reflect on the rise and crisis of democracy? And how can historians go about dissecting the cultural context within which it originated, flourished, withered, and revived?
