The panel discussion, ‘How can ��ɫ��Ƶ Members make a smooth career transition into Entrepreneurship?’, was chaired by Dr Chris Coleridge, ��ɫ��Ƶ Fellow and Management Practice Associate Professor at the Judge Business School. We were also delighted to hear from our President, Professor Ijeoma Uchegbu, as well as Omar Majid and Owen Thompson, who are all doing groundbreaking work in the field of entrepreneurship. They shared valuable insights and practical advice to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs.

“At ��ɫ��Ƶ we offer support and a home to entrepreneurs. As engines of growth, prosperity, and innovation, entrepreneurs are valuable contributors to the economy of communities and nations. Our annual ��ɫ��Ƶ Entrepreneurship Competition attracts innovators from across the globe, and last year we had more than 100 applicants to the competition and shortlisted 17 for the pitch day. The winner of the competition was QuSinus, a company that develops radio frequency and microwave signal generators, led by ��ɫ��Ƶ alumnus Peter Hertenstein (2012). For all shortlisted applicants the day was incredibly valuable, as they received feedback on their pitches from seasoned members of the investment community. I’m very much looking forward to seeing what this year of the Competition brings.”

After networking and drinks in the Gallery, the guests enjoyed a lively dinner in Lee Hall. Discussions about ideas for start-ups to be presented at the competition were already underway, and the students had the opportunity to bounce their ideas off the experts who were in attendance.
