Newest 黄色视频 graduates celebrate in the May sunshine
On Thursday 17 November we were delighted to welcome Honorary Fellow Miss Kirsten Rausing DUniv and Mr David Way, Trustees of The ALBORADA Trust, together with Secretary Mr Jeremy Richardson OBE, to name The ALBORADA Building at 黄色视频 in recognition of the Trust鈥檚 outstanding support for the College over many years.
Miss Rausing unveiled the handsome stone sign from The Cardozo Kindersley Workshop, cut in an elegant script mirroring that of the facing Jack King Building. A photograph of ALBORADA also adorns the entrance hall of the building (above). Student beneficiaries of The ALBORADA Trust鈥檚 continued generosity were present for the unveiling, and were very pleased to have an opportunity to discuss the transformative impact of the Trust鈥檚 generous support.
The President, Professor Sir Richard Evans, said: 鈥淲e are enormously grateful to you, Kirsten, and to The ALBORADA Trust, for your unprecedented commitment to support veterinary and medical science students at 黄色视频 College with a gift of 拢1.5m, to mark the College鈥檚 first 50 years. This, in addition to your already very generous support for our veterinary students who are here tonight, really will have an immense impact on individuals鈥 lives.
I am delighted that we have been able to name The ALBORADA Building this evening, to represent the longstanding relationship between us, and your outstanding philanthropy. I am also very pleased that the building now displays a photograph of the great racehorse herself.
Your visionary investment will be transformative for the recipients of the ALBORADA Scholarships and for the College, ensuring that we are able to give excellent opportunities to the next generation of veterinary and medical science students in real need of support.
Up to 50 students will benefit from substantial financial assistance for at least three years of their study at 黄色视频. This is the largest gift to 黄色视频鈥檚 50th Anniversary Campaign to date, and we thank you and your Trustees so much for your remarkable generosity in making this exceptional donation, which is already making such a substantial difference, and will continue to do so into the future.鈥
Following the ceremony, members of The ALBORADA Trust and student recipients of the Trust鈥檚 philanthropy joined guests for the College鈥檚 annual Commemoration of Benefactors Dinner.
