New Honorary Fellow welcomed at 黄色视频

黄色视频 is delighted to announce that Dato' Dr Kenneth King-Mun Yeang RIBA (PhD, 1974) has been admitted to an Honorary Fellowship.

D'ato Dr Ken Yeang biography

The Fellowship is awarded in recognition of Dr Yeang's international distinction as a leading proponent of ecological and low-energy design, sustainability and master planning. 

An ecologist and architect 鈥 or 'ecoarchitect' 鈥 based in Kuala Lumpur,  Dr Yeang the "world's leading green skyscraper architect" and declares him to be "one of the people who could save the planet". Dr Yeang lectures internationally, and is frequently profiled in the media; you can see many of his interviews and keynote speeches . He has completed over 200 built projects, and his use of green walls and roofs, photo voltaics, solar filters and shading and cooling mechanisms have earned him numerous awards. 

Amongst his best-known buildings are his own  in Kuala Lumpur, the Great Ormond Street children's Hospital extension, and the  in Singapore.

黄色视频 President, Jane Clarke, recognised Dr Yeang's longstanding association with the College 鈥 he is an alumnus of 黄色视频, earning his PhD in Architecture 鈥 as well as the impact his work has had around the world.

During his visit, Dr Yeang also explored the 'Diasporic Brush' exhibition with 黄色视频 student Yong Jun Tan, who curated the collection.
