Dr Tania Davies is the Deputy Senior Tutor for Welfare and Wellbeing. A social research scientist specialising in wellbeing within policy contexts and psychopathological disorders, Tania is a senior fellow of the HEA and the Care Experienced Student Champion for Cambridge University.
Tania also holds a position as Visiting Researcher with the Autism Research Centre, Cambridge University, researching wellbeing functions of people living with autism. She is also part of a research team exploring suicidality and self-harm in children and young adults at the Institute of Public Health, Cambridge University.
Tania holds accreditation with the Economic and Social Research Council and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She held the position of Health Portfolio Director at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David for over ten years as well as research positions within the Military Education for Wales, the Research Centre of Expertise Cymru and the Higher Education for Future Generations Group. Her work has focused upon psychopathological disorders and EDI, wellbeing and health in social policy, emerging issues within criminal justice, and mental health provision in the armed forces. She has also contributed to work undertaken on behalf of King Charles III's Harmony and sustainable future debates. Before teaching and managing teams within Higher Education, she worked as an Addictions Counsellor for young offenders.
Tania holds accreditation with the Economic and Social Research Council and has contributed to research within the social sciences in relation to wellbeing in social policy and HE. Her work has also focused on emerging issues within criminal justice and the armed forces. She has contributed to work undertaken on behalf of King Charles III's Harmony and sustainable future debates.
